A tremendously rich, oaky Chard that will blast your socks off and then some. The fruit is really complex, ranging from green apples to savory ripe peaches on into tropical fruit, and there's a dusty sprinkling of cinnamon and ginger. For sur-lie freaks, there's lots of creamy, yeasty, nutty notes contributing to this delicious, hard-hitting wine.

With their vineyard holdings, Kunde does a great job at varietally true wines at reasonable prices. This dry red wine has flavors of berries, cherries and herbs. It’s soft and gentle, with good supportive acids, tannins and a complex finish.

For all the richness, and there’s plenty of it in the pineapple, Meyer lemondrop and vanilla notes, this Chard has a gunmetal minerality that grounds it. The “Nu” designation indicates that it’s unoaked.

Locked down by hard tannins, this nonetheless is a beautiful Zinfandel, dry and rich in flavor. It bursts with savory wild berry, tobacco, mocha and pepper flavors, and feels elegant and refined. The tannins call for enormously rich beef, pasta, sauces and cheeses.

Here’s a rich, dense, impressive Cab. It shows soft acids, melted tannins and beautifully ripe cassis, black currant, black cherry pie and milk chocolate flavors, with well-integrated smoky oak notes, and is thoroughly dry. It doesn’t seem like an ager, but is delicious now and for the next few years.

Another well-made wine from Kunde. It has unmistakable Cab flavors of blackcurrants, and it is well-oaked. The tannins are noticeable, dry but ripe. It’s a bit soft and thin, though.

The best Magnolia in recent memory. Rich and sophisticated in gooseberry, fig and vanilla flavors, totally dry, and with crisp acidity, this wine is clean and refreshing. Cries out for oysters, or just about anything.

Strikes all the right high-end Cabernet notes. Ripe, plush black currant and cassis fruit, lush, soft tannins, balanced acids and a fine overlay of oak all combine for a rich mouthfeel. The quick finish suggests drinking now.

Made bells and whistles style, including flown-blown ripe tropical fruits, a creamy, leesy mouth feel, lots of smoky oak and vanilla, and rich, crisp acids. Awfully good, and gets better as it warms in the glass.

Held back for four years before release, this Zin has achieved a creamy softness. The flavors offer a blast of peppery, briary wild red, black and blue berries and currants, with vibrant hints of bacon, cola and sandalwood. Great value in a Zinfandel this likeable.
