This inky, dense Brunello delivers rich opulence and velvety cherry-berry nuances. Cassis, ripe raspberries and currants are followed by dark chocolate and exotic spice. The wine shows great balance too, especially between acidity and tannin.

Here is a rich and dense style of Brunello with bright berry tones and ripe cherry followed by cedar, cola and spice. The wine is rich and opulent in the mouth with great intensity, soft tannins and well integrated acidity. La Mannella really steps forward in terms of quality with this vintage.

With vineyards north and southeast of Montalcino, this family-run winery is relatively new on the scene. Opens with floral and fruity intensity: ripe forest berry, blueberry, rose tea and violet and follows with cedar, leather, tobacco and mineral-like, iron notes. Silky, supple and medium-bodied.
