Made with a blend of two of Friuli’s most traditional grapes, Picolit and Verduzzo Friulano, Siùm shows a rich, copperish color, with intense aromas of almond paste, butterscotch, caramel, candied fruit and orange zest. The Verduzzo elements lends a distinctive characteristic of yellow candy.

Strange on the nose, with hints of cat box, crushed vitamins, iodine and yeast. Quite rubbery and pithy on the palate, with papaya, green melon and some vegetal notes. And it’s spritzy across the tongue. Imported by Supreme Wines & Spirits.

Here’s an easy white blend of 80% Tocai Friulano with Pinot Grigio and Pinot Bianco that maintains good integrity of natural fruit. The aromas of stone fruit, banana and papaya are well balanced and the wine is bright and lively on the palate with a smooth, clean quality.

This is a light and fresh Friulano with clean, almost sharp, notes of kiwi, lime, chopped mint, passion fruit and grapefruit. The nose is almost reminiscent of Sauvignon Blanc but the mouthfeel is rich, dense and crisp on the close.

There’s a pungent note of something charred or burned that is off putting at first but that also diminishes with time. The wine has very crisp acidity over a lean mouthfeel.
