Normally even excellent Albariños have their limits, and this gem seems to have limited ageability. But for drinking through 2009, it’s dynamite. Dusty apple and mineral aromas are for starters. Next is a palate of green apple, citrus and pineapple that rises above the fray. And then there’s that finish of mineral and pineapple essence that seals the deal. A Europvin, Christopher Cannan selection, imported by multiple importers, including Michael Skurnik Wines.

Big as Albariños go, with lots of melon, apple and pineapple in the bouquet. The flavors lean toward papaya and grapefruit, with a hint of baking spice providing support. The finish is complete and integrated, with licorice and anise subtleties creating interest.
