A great summer rosé, which is packed with red fruits, raspberries and freshness. The fruit is ripe, but not too full-bodied, showing some nutty flavors along with the toast and finishing with fine, clean acidity. Imported by Paterno Wines International.

Smooth and creamy, this is a soft, ripe sparkling wine, its acidity at just the right level of crispness. A round the core of acidity, green plum and grapefruit flavors give freshness and some richness. A great food sparkler.

Weighty Sauvignon Blanc, going for tropical flavors, very ripe yellow fruits and sweet acidity. The wine is rich, concentrated, keeping a mineral edge, showing some of the intensity of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. A delicious, ripe wine.

Owned by Bollinger Champagne, Langlois-Château is one of the top sparkling wine producers in the Loire. But they also make some attractive still wines. This Chinon, soft, fresh and vibrant with red fruits, is a great quaffing wine, simple, with a delicious smoky aftertaste. Drink now.

For this vintage, this is an impressively dense wine, packed with firm, solid fruits and layers of new wood. There are flavors of black currants, a touch of spice, and refreshing acidity.

Fleshy and clean, with a blast of smoke and mineral tightening up what is otherwise a basic nose of stone fruits and citrus. Orange/tangerine is the dominant flavor profile, but there’s also some stony minerality to harden it up. Not terribly intense but good for a warm-vintage Sancerre. Imported by Dreyfus, Ashby & Co.

Still drinking well today, this salmon-hued rosé boasts complex aromas of herbs, spice and melon. It's round and slightly creamy-textured in the mouth, where the pepper and clove notes take hold, underscoring ripe melon and peach flavors. Spicy and fresh on the long finish, picking up a minerally note.
