A goodly amount of stoniness and mineral offset any candied fruit element, and the whole is largely on the money. Flavors of ripe melon, grapefruit and other citrus fruits are sweet but pleasant, while the finish is concentrated and forward, with ample pith and zesty dryness. Imported by Great Wines International.

The slight brown edge reads age, which this has. Plus handsome dried raspberry, cedar, leather and cigar box aromas and flavors. Elegantly constructed, this shows many admirable qualities of mature Bordeaux, but also a large dose of greenness.

Opens handsomely with green apple, smoke, and herb aromas. The oak shows in the palate’s toast and butterscotch sheen. Slightly viscous on the tongue, with a long minerally finish, this is elegant, taut Chardonnay. Rewarding now, and will improve further.

The black cherry--dark berry fruit here is simply overwhelmed by massive oak. Overwooded and edgy, fundamentally out of balance, offering little but sharp acidity, bracing tannins, and a hard, dry, gum-numbing finish. It's supposed to be about the grapes.

Lovely popcorn and toast aromas whet the appetite for the thin, cool lemon flavors accented by spice. The finish shows the popcorn, plus an herbal tang. —K.F.

This wine has a great chocolaty, berry and vanilla nose. Lovely balanced taste with a fruity after taste. I really enjoyed it.
