Brut nature is a bone-dry style of Champagne, dry well beyond ordinary brut, which lends a steely refinement to the usual toast and fruit. This wine is absolutely built for oysters or caviar. Though it’s a rarely seen style of Champagne, this is an excellent effort.

One expects elegance, grace and precision from this prestige cuvée, and this wine delivers that and much more. There is a refined complexity running through it, from the cascading tiny bubbles to the lush, toasty nose to the dense, palate-tickling, complex mouthfeel, which continues seamlessly through to a long, ultrasatisfying finish. Stylish and seductive.

Here's a young vintage Champagne in need of cellaring. It has classic dry citrus flavors, with a tart, crisp mouthfeel, fine bubbles and a lengthy finish. It's elegantly structured, a full-bodied wine whose rough edges will soften in a few years.

Quite nice, with pleasing hints of toast, pear, apple, spice and floral notes. The wine has good body and finesse, ending with a supple roundness on a finish that’s moderate in length.

Crisp, fresh and clean, with a spicy center and hints of raspberry, cherry, lemon, grapefruit, minerals and herbs. Sleek, with small bubbles and a good, long finish.

Shines with elegance and class right from the start of the toasty, yeasty, appley bouquet with vanilla hints. It’s a joy to taste, with its full, complex flavors, ripe mouthfeel and long finish. A great example of how far wines designated Kosher have come, and what is possible in this category.

Laurent-Perrier’s Grand Siècle range is named after the reign of Louis XIV. The bottle is a copy of a 17th-century flask. The wine has aromas of fresh red fruits. It is a full, rich style with a layer of toasty acidity. A delicious, well-balanced wine, it has just a hint of maturity.

Full-bodied and rich, with the open, lively fruits typical of 1995-vintage Champagne. It does have plenty of crisp acidity in support of its generous flavors and its long-lasting, soft aftertaste.

Almost bone dry, this Champagne can be difficult to appreciate, layered with acidity and green fruit. But get beneath its dryness and the fruit is surprisingly ripe, with pink grapefruit flavors. This is a wine that demands bottle aging to soften the acidity, so an indication of disgorgement would be helpful. Imported by Laurent-Perrier.

A full, creamy wine with a big mousse that fills the mouth. The fruit is more restrained, but the structure firm. This bottling was too young when tasted—another year of aging would have been an improvement. Imported by Laurent-Perrier.
