This is what folks mean when they say “food wine”: A wine of moderate size, with pretty, smooth tannins and not a lot of oak or sweetness to muck it up. Red licorice and plum aromas on the nose lead to a focused, pure plum core. Finishes medium-long with wheaty, pastry-dough flavors.
