Featuring finely detailed aromas and flavors of raspberries and peppery spice, this is a medium-bodied blend of 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah. It’s supple, not overdone at all; a somewhat Burgundian style. Ready to drink now, but should hold through 2012 thanks to its fine balance.

Impressively full-bodied and tannic, but maybe too much so, with notes of torrefaction and cedar that run headlong into dried-fruit flavors.

Named for a ruined Moorish tower on the property, this is a rather dark, brooding Gigondas with notes of coffee and molasses only partly enlivened by bright raspberry flavors.

Unlike the Cuvée St-Roch this is 50-50 Grenache and Syrah, and the result, at least in 2004, is a wine with greater intensity but less precision or detail to its flavors.
