Made in very limited quantities from old vines, this is a blend in equal parts of Grenache, Carignan and Syrah; very rich somewhat roasted nose with sweet aromas dominated by earthen and leathery aromas, but that mix with wonderful aromas of sweet spice and lilacs; ripe and very rich in the mouth; loaded with ripe black fruits, black cherry and roasted coffee flavors; jammy and thick, this is intense wine with lots of flavor; hot and alcoholic (15%), this is obviously from a hot climate; long finish with layers of fruit and earth; intense but not particularly complex.
