“Weisser Riesling” is Burgenland’s name for Riesling, and this Beerenauslese has much of the intense but delicate flavors of this great grape. There is tons of acidity, and the botrytis and sweetness play only a part of the fine shape and taste of this fresh wine.

The botrytis texture of this wine—the dryness underlying the sweetness—is delicious. There is balance, allowing the acidity to join the honeyed sweetness. Pepper adds a touch of seasoning to this unctuous wine.
