Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Full, sweet, a touch reduced and granular on the nose, but exemplary of what affordable Garnacha from a good vintage should be like. The palate is stacked and deep, while the flavors are a mix of wild berry, rubber, toast and espresso. Turns a bit hot on the finish, but food will tame that. Drink now.

A raisiny wine with hot-weather characteristics throughout. The nose is baked and the palate offers mostly prune and burnt oak. There is a limited scope to the mouthfeel, which remains heavy and deep throughout.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Nice and smoky, with dark, earthy aromas and no signs of strain on the bouquet. The palate pops with raspberry and red-plum flavors, while the feel is mildly tannic and healthy overall. Turns a touch tangy and herbal on the finish, but there’s offsetting licorice and nutmeg that brings things to a good conclusion.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
A touch green and grassy at the start, with cinnamon, cherry candy and red-fruit aromas. The palate is fresh and snappy, with sweet berry flavors and just a slight bit of resin and/or green character. Finishes light and quick, making it an easygoing red wine that isn’t meant for deep analysis.
