A rich, lush, well-structured and seamless Pinot Noir, the 2006 Lenné brings brambly cherry fruit with streaks of herb, leaf and spice. The alcohol, pushing close to 15%, shows up as a slight burn in the finish, but the wine brings in interesting notes of mint and chervil in the aromatic finish.

Two bottles tasted—the first seemed sugary, manipulated and totally out of whack. The second was nicely integrated, moderately ripe, varietal with clean cherry-berry fruit. The score reflects the second bottle.
