Just had it this week in the office- classic "old world" Bordeaux- I have a slight penchant for the newer world styles from the right bank or deeply love St. Emilion-

COLOR: opaque brown. NOSE: caramel and molasses, stewed tomatoes and eggplants. PALATE: chocolate, prunes, dirt, and a little barnyard. Hilarious Alyssa said, "doesn't stir my soul, but I'll live." Probably would be really yummy with blue cheese.
