Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Minty eucalyptus on the nose is followed by a fusion of lively plum and spice on the palate. A warming backbone of oak gives the wine weight. The finish is smooth and supple. Drink now or hold up to 4–5 years.

Lovely aromas of cinnamon and clove mean this Cabernet is of a serious mind, and the flavors of smoke, mocha and tobacco confirm it. The wine shows very good structure and layers of delicious flavors. Cellar it and enjoy the unfolding character in years to come.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Deep spice and pepper on the nose of this delicious Shiraz hint at the layers to come. The wine is a combination of firm tannins and earthy, smoky fruit. Its elegant, dry style will please fans of French wines and this is clearly a Shiraz with aging potential.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Pinotage, with its often rustic, eccentric character, is typically a hard sell outside of South Africa. But producers like Lindhorst are proving that the variety can be just as appealing as any other red. This shows appetizing aromas of spiced meat and soft red berry, and on the palate, it has a round, velvety mouthfeel that is atypical of the sometimes prickly Pinotage. Pretty and full of dimension, the wine is a great introduction to the grape.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
A slightly sweet nose and flavor profile—think spicy and toasted oak characterize this wine from Lindhorst. On the palate, it’s a classic, elegant Merlot—with savory and rich flavors and smooth, quiet tannins.
