For ten bucks you get a dry, crisp and tasty wine, brimming with apricot, pineapple and vanilla flavors, wrapped into a creamy texture. This is a good price for a Chardonnay of this quality.

Here’s a solid Merlot that’s a bargain. It’s soft and lush, a full-bodied red wine with rich flavors of blackberries, cherries, chocolate and pepper.

A pretty good Cabernet. If it was drier, it would be better. Shows super-fruity blackberry jam and chocolate flavors, and feels soft and simple in the mouth.

Nice pineapple, tangerine, golden apricot and peach flavors in this spicy wine, and it has a sweet vanilla richness. Would benefit from greater dryness, but it’s an easy, stylish sipper at a good price.

A top choice in a generally weak category, this Pinot shows pretty strawberry and raspberry scents that yield to earth and cherry flavors in the mouth. The palate is well balanced and followed by a strawberry-infused finish. Although this wine shows quite a bit of promise, some slightly gummy notes on the nose and palate preclude a higher score at this time.
