A small, family-owned producer based in Epernay, Lombard makes a fresh style of Champagne, dominated by Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, that has white currant and a delicious touch of lightness. The dosage seems to be out of balance with the rest of the wine, which is a shame, considering the good fruit.
