Soft apple and citrus fruit has a slighty oily mouthfeel, and finishes with a toasty, buttery flourish. Aromas are delicate, of flowers and pear.

This Merlot has some unusual characteristics, but it’s still a compelling, value-priced offering. Both the aromas and flavors carry spice, bacon, straight-off-the-barbecue, rustic notes. There’s mixed plums underneath it all, all of which is framed in a soft, easily accessible feel.

Somewhat thin and acidic in the mouth, with a rubbery note on the palate. Still, blue and black berry aromas and flavors are nice.
