Big, bold wine, ripe fruits pushed forward by wood, some spice, rich in character. This is lush Chardonnay, but with a good mineral edge.

The complex nose boasts hints of toast, vanilla, cinnamon and hazelnuts. But don’t think that this is an oak-and-mirrors wine. There’s plenty of white stone fruits to back it up, along with a minerally edge. Finishes very long, with recurring notes of toasted nuts.

This is a powerful, structured wine, with dark tannins, a dry feel and ripe fruit flavors. Somewhat out of balance now but should even out as it ages. Imported by Louis Latour.

A superpowerful wine packed with structure and ripe fruit. It also has elegance and dense concentrated flavors. Its strange name—”four days”— is derived from the fact that it was possible for four workers to harvest the vineyard’s fruit in a single day. Imported by Louis Latour.

What a powerhouse of flavors: white and yellow fruit, herbs and spicy wood, but still exhibiting some of the finesse and elegance for which this grand cru vineyard is noted. The steely, mineral character of a good Pouilly wine is certainly here, along with a rich, creamy texture and pineapple acidity. It’s rich, but there is a good, crisp lift on the finish.

Pale in color, this wine goes for shades of flavor. The initial tannins merge into softer raspberry flavors that in turn become fresh red currants and final acidity. Ready to drink now.
