Deep and perfumed nose with elegant wafting aromas of lilacs, tar, pitch, green and black peppercorns, and lots of powerful fruit and berry aromas of raspberries and cherries; very sweet and intense in the mouth, flavors of chocolate and sweet ripe black fruits; very ripe flavors, but also with a nice core of tannins that maintain focus in this otherwise big and blowsy wine; the finish changes, and it ends with a nice emergence of citrus fruit and acidity to provide a fresh ending to this opulent wine.
