Simple and candied, but not unpleasant, this is a perfect “party Pinot.” Chill it slightly to accentuate the black cherry fruit and minimize its slightly syrupy mouthfeel.

Light, mild red-fruit nose. Medium texture and body, with black-cherry notes and a slight sweetness on the palate. I was surprised to find the '96 vintage still available in stores. For drinking now through 2002.
