An unusual blend of Riesling, Huxelrebe, Viognier and Sauvignon Blanc, this has residual sugar of almost 3%, but marries the sweetness to a Vouvray-like tartness. Your tongue dances back and forth from honey to tea, from sweet to dry. Excellent length and a wash of fresh cut orange as it fades.

A fortified red wine blend of Cab Sauvignon, Cab Franc and Merlot, the alcohol is a Port-like 19.2%. This is dark and substantial, with allspice, clove and cinnamon infusing fig- and plum-flavored fruit. The residual sugar is 6% but the sweetness is not at all overpowering, thanks to the excellent spirit (no burn) and the dense tannins. Try it with figs stuffed with bleu cheese and walnuts.
