Has a pleasurable nose of toasted oak, pear and pineapple, but on the palate, there’s a burst of apricot and a syrupy, honeyed weight that overrides its more delicate features. Needs more balance and acidity, but overall, it will be enjoyed by fans of a heavier style of dessert wine.

The nose is luscious, packed with heady floral and ripe fruit notes. The wine is viscous; fruit flavors of cranberry and melon give it an interesting character that’s not too sweet or cloying. Pair it with sharp cheese or fruit desserts.

A heady baked apple and spice nose on this unusual dessert wine, but the flavors of cinnamon, apple and honey are a bit heavy. It’s tasty, but slightly clumsy in its intense sweetness. A lighter touch with these appetizing flavors would have improved the wine’s accessibility.
