Sweet, intense nose, lots of black plums and cherries, smoke, sweet perfume, elegant and powerful; sweet and rich in the front of the mouth, lots of spicy fruit and soft textures, this wine is now mature enough to show some nice flavors of plums and cherries with a mix of wood smoke; long finish, a bit coarse for this wine but with lots of flavor. (18/20)

Solid nose of sweet cherries and plums, smoke, earth, touch of sour mash on the nose; ripe fruit flavors in the front of the mouth with lots of plums and black cherries, a bit hard: sweet fruit but with a touch of woody dryness that comes from tough tannins that are still very much in control in this wine; good balance and depth, but a certain lack of complexity; strong but not compelling.
