Very rich and ripe, a modern style Chardonnay. It’s well-oaked, showing aromas and flavors of buttered toast and vanilla cream, as well as fruitier notes of roasted pineapples, pears and oranges. Drink this flamboyant wine now.

Very tannic and dry, especially for a 2007 Cabernet, not showing the fatness and opulence of that acclaimed vintage. There are some buried treasure blackberry and cassis flavors, but the wine is so tough, you have to wonder if it will ever come around.

Hard in tanins and earthy, this blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah is a little rustic, but it shows a certain elegance, and there’s a nice core of blackberries, cherries, tobacco and savory spices. A wine to watch in future vintages.
