Relatively soft, this is a rosé with strawberries. The balance is just right, with acidity in abundance, but not enough to hide the up-front red berry flavors and the creamy texture.

Not as dry as some Nature (very dry) Champagnes, this takes in fine grapefruit flavors, allied with some yeast and toast. The aromas follow the same pattern, with toast dominating. A Champagne that is as natural as its name suggests.

A Too young to drink now, this Chardonnay is very fresh, quite closed up and tight, the white stone fruit flavors only just showing above the intense acidity. Cellar it, because it’s well made, a wine that just needs 3–4 years.

A Champagne that is very much wine. The structure and the richness are just right for a food wine, showing ripe acidity, flavors of plums and apricots, and balancing these primary fruits with a dense, complex structure that takes in yeast, maturity and a tight apple skin finish.

Mandois seems to go for a creamy style. With its NV cuvée, this works well, the touch of richness and toast balancing attractively with the soft, mouth-filling texture. The wine shows some bottle age, giving a delicious, yeasty aftertaste.
