Pineapple and burnt hay are the key aromas, and they are followed by a sheer, neutral palate with sour apple and background pickled flavors. The finish is basic and a touch pithy, and overall the wine could use more of that vibrant, tropical character that elevates the grape.

Latex, tire rubber, sauciness, mocha and cotton candy all share the nose, while the palate is forward, a touch scratchy and filled with bold black cherry and plum flavors. Shows some toast and burn on the finish, and overall it’s a good Malbec with some mild bite and abrasiveness.

Mildly baked and raisiny on the nose, then more varietal in character in the mouth. There’s sweet and spicy cherry as well as brown sugar flavors along with good acidity and medium-bodied elegance that pushes the wine along. Basic on the finish, with a hint of lasting candied sweetness.
