Just off-dry, this wine has the bright acidity to balance the sugars and let the green apple and herb flavors shine through. It's a nice sipper, not very chewy or complex, but ideal for a summer evening.

Simple and thin, and very tannic, an extremely dry wine that offers little relief beyond acids and alcohol. In fact, itÕs downright disagreebable in the mouth. ItÕs like water with a drop or two of wine flavor.

The Vouvray-based négociant, Marc Brédif, has made a ripe, soft Chinon, reveling in the sweet fruit of 2005. It has some good, smoked-meat flavors to go with the black fruits. Drink now.

Crisp citrus aroma, light color. Cleansing on the palate good food wine, tastes of green apple and melon nice full body wine.
