For a tough, cool vintage, this wine displays lush qualities and depth, bordering on jamminess. Flavors of baked plums and cassis rest on a plump, soft palate with little tannic bite. All in all, it may be a little overripe, which is why the finish is short. But as a whole this is a tasty wine, especially considering the year.

Saucy and sulfuric at first, but better with time. The palate amounts to a saturated fruit bomb with grip, while the core flavors of cassis and black fruits are very sweet and chunky. Bulky, broad and on the cusp of syrupy. Ripe and ready but maybe too ripe and creamy for its own good.

Aggressive smelling early on but then it settles on classy raspberry, cassis and herbs. The palate is very healthy, juicy, rich and big, but the flavors of dark berry fruit are subtle and smooth. Chunky, sweet and ripe on the finish. A Malbec to drink this winter. Only 300 cases produced.
