This excellent blend of Chardonnay and Friulano offers a rich and reassuring feel in the mouth that would stand up to creamy artichoke risotto or white meat. Its beautiful aromas include melon, pear, apricot and a touch of butterscotch.

Here’s a layered and sophisticated Pinot Grigio with aromas of white mineral, peach, pear and delicate overtones of baked bread and roasted almond. All this is backed by natural creaminess and richness that would pair beautifully with swordfish steak or chopped tuna tartare.

This is an excellent Sauvignon from Northeast Italy that stays true to the variety with aromas of cut grass, kiwi, citrus and passion fruit. The aromatic intensity is impressive and the wine is compact and refreshingly crisp and vibrant in the mouth.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Although you might encounter some initial sulfur, this wine later portrays yellow rose, peach, almond, cut grass and honey. It doesn’t have huge flavor intensity but just enough to keep your attention.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
A distinctive PG that puts a high priority on elegance and refinement. The aromas are characterized by white flower, minerals, almond skin and peaches; and the wine rests on its lees for 8 months to render a broader, creamier mouthfeel.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Stone fruit, melon, white stone and a touch of lemon zest on the nose shape a wine with good dimension and persistency that ages on the lees for eight months. The mouthfeel is particularly attractive and skillfully achieved with an extremely soft and smooth quality. Pair it with pasta, fish, and chicken.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Here is a beautifully executed northern white (mostly barrel-fermented Chardonnay and Tocai Friulano) with pristine notes of stone fruit, banana, pineapple, vanilla and yellow flowers. It has good intensity in the mouth with a silky, creamy feel and very good persistency on the finish.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
This historic family-run winery (now run by Maria Angela, Carlo and Giorgio) presents a clean and completely refreshing Sauvignon with grapefruit, citrus, sage, green notes and a remote background aroma that recalls almond marzipan. It has nice consistency and some interesting succulence in the mouth.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Excellent acidity and drying minerality are framed by feminine notes of citrus, pineapple and dried grass. Zest and crispness suggest this complex white blend would pair with quiche or puff pastry appetizers.
