Intriguing, with Indian spice and petroleum top notes followed by pomelo and lime fruit. There’s density to the citrus fruit and an overall elegance. It picks up more acidity on the finish, resulting in a refreshing impression. Nicely done.

Classic Mosel nose of fresh blossoms, delicate stone fruit, slate and hints of flint. This is medium sweet, crisp and lively with lots of juicy fruit flavors, notes of acacia honey, white peach and citrus. Nicely taut and focused palate, very minerally with refreshing long finish.

Pale gold color. Broad and aromatic, showing ripe yellow peach and nectarine, hints of honey, dried herbs and an earthy minerality. Fuller body and weightier on the palate than expected. Slightly loose knit but shows ample ripe stone-fruit flavors that balance sweetness and acidity slightly awkwardly on the palate.

Light in body and very easy to drink, with pristine flavors of flower greens, green apples and lime and a clean, fresh finish. The only clue that this is from an exceptionally ripe vintage is the hint of tropical fruit—verging on banana and melon—that may be found amidst the flavors. Imported by Schmitt-Sohne Inc.

A disappointment from this producer, or maybe the wine is just in a closed phase. Poached apple and citrus aromas are light and balanced, picking up orange, tangerine and lime notes on the crisp finish. Right now, it’s a bit simple and short. Imported by Wein-Bauer, Inc.

Truly stunning, this white starts out with subtle talcum powder and gravel notes, then adds intense perfume and peaches in the mouth. There’s a finely tuned balance and good length. Exceptional harmony and intensity suggest it will improve for 15 years or more.
