Lively, candied and medicinal, with grassy aromas along with mild animal notes. The palate is young, grabby, forceful but solid, while the flavors are bright, bold, snappy and suggest red plum and black cherry. A basic young wine that’s decent if you’re not too discerning.

Balsamic and hard, with a briney, stemmy set of chemical-tinged black fruit aromas. The palate hits with force and noise; it’s hard, tannic and unforgiving. The flavors of baked berry are rich, but the finish is grating and blazes with tannic burn.

Roasted smelling, with dried spice aromas. Choppy and tannic in the mouth, with rubbery, savory flavors of raspberry and dark plum. Short and hard on the finish, with tomato notes. Has some good points but it’s miserly on the fruit and comes across as tannic.
