This Tempranillo combines red raspberries with chalky minerals and a touch of white pepper. Flavors of grilled meat go along with raspberry fruit, then the wine finishes smooth, soft and even.

Tasty and tart, with interesting aromas of vanilla and lemon meringue pie. Strawberry flavors were zesty and accented with a little cedar. Drink and enjoy now.

Black cherry is featured prominently on the oaky nose. Strawberry, cherry, and red currant are all part of the fruity flavor profile. A little lean in the mouth, but juicy and flashy as it fades away. Nice and friendly, and a proper textbook taste of the region.

Almost red in color, with nectarine and cherry aromas. Fairly big and lively in the mouth, but the fruit is soft and simple: It’s like underripe strawberry and stone fruits. The finish broadens out somewhat, but it never gets past the snappy, tart stage.

Some mint, licorice and cinnamon makes the sweet nose fairly open, and there’s plenty of snap and pop to the cherry-raspberry palate. This is a simple wine, but it’s tasty and has all its ducks in a row.

Light smoke, cedar and raisin aromas are followed by dried cherry and currant-like flavors. At eight years of age, it’s starting to cross the bridge from mature to fading. The acidity is mostly what’s left, so there’s a beam of tartness at the center and on the finish.

Clean and clear, with pear and mineral aromas. There are lime, apple and peach flavors and a crisp, fresh finish. With loads of citrus and a streamlined mouthfeel, it’s quite tasty when served chilled.

Cedary wood notes along with some mushroom aromas. Then comes a light-berry flavor that is carried by piercing acidity. The finish is all red pie cherries and not much else.

Neutral and muted at first, with just a mild hint of dried spices and cherry fruit. Then it opens up a little to reveal a defined but tart cherry-driven palate. Seems extremely crisp at the end, almost as if it’s already drying out. Probably better with hearty food.

Light and lucid, this carries the hallmarks of traditional Rioja: cherry fruit, pronounced oak, leathery notes and powerful acidity. It’s slightly sharp and woody, with cranberry notes popping up on the mouth-puckering finish.
