Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Toast aromas accent ripe pears and golden-delicious apples in this soft, easy-to-like Chard that only lacks a bit of depth. A slightly bitter note on the finish should become less noticeable over the next few months.

An intensely lemony wine that folds in some pear aromatics. Quite full on the palate and yet very fresh, clean and citrusy; tailor-made for the region’s shellfish.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Red berry, cherry, vanilla and cedar on aromas are followed by subtle waves of fruit and spice in this fresh red. It has feisty spice underneath but the pretty flavors of cherry and vanilla soften it.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
After the acetone blows off, the aromas are like sticking your nose in a honey jar. Round and sweet in the mouth, but not full, with honey suckle and animal musk flavors, this lacks acidity to lift it, giving it a heavy feeling.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
A sweet white offering varietally correct aromas of rose, lychee, and spice. Low alcohol and low acid leave the sugar to do the talking, which it does with flavors of lychee and peach. Good for summer sipping, with a spicy finish.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
With its relativly low alcohol (12.2%) and brisk, citrusy flavors, this would make a solid beach-party wine. Hints of peach help to round it out, but the emphasis is on refreshing acidity.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
This is a delicious, German-style Riesling that balances rich, ripe fruit flavors with crisp, citric acidity. First, there are the aromas of honey, flowers and lemon, and then rich, elegant flavors of apricot and tropical fruit that finish clean and bright. The intensity of the wine means it could age, but it’s great to drink now.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
There’s black pepper, leather, roasted meat and spice on the palate of this Long Island Cabernet, but the mouthfeel is watery, and overall, the wine lacks depth or roundness.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Here’s an easy-drinking Chard that provides notes of pear, melon and small white flowers. The acidity is vibrant in the mouth, but the finish falls a bit flat in the end.
