Classy nose for a young wine, quite complex and layered with smoked meat, pepper, green herbs, smoke, tobacco leaves, cracked black pepper, and black fruits all combine on the nose; smooth and rich in the mouth, still quite closed but showing nice earthen and red cherry flavors; dry black cherry juice and smooth tannins; the wine is quite forward while showing that it has a lot in reserve; dry finish now as the tannins open in the glass, but layers of flavor for later development.
