This is surprisingly ready to drink for a 2001. Its rich, sweet fruit has some acidity balancing the ripeness. Flavors of honey and a touch of ripe peaches are alongside green plums.

As with many of these ausleses, this wine is still young, as its yeasty flavors show. The sweetness is balanced with high acidity. It is fresh, with flavors of ripe sweet apples and crisp oranges.
