A controversial wine, tasted twice. It’s soft and tannic, with candied cherry-berry, mocha and sweet oak flavors. Seems at once dull and powerful. Hard to know where it’s going, but the benefit of the doubt suggests 4–5 years in the cellar.

Very ripe, rich and fruity, with oodles of blackberry, black cherry and sweet new oak, which gives even richer notes of caramel and toast. The tannin structure is firm and a bit hard. The beauty of this 100% Cabernet lies entirely in its potential. Give it 4–6 years to come around.
