This beautiful, vineyard-designate Barbaresco from the Ausario cru is marked by distinctive mineral notes of graphite and slate followed by pristine aromas of wild berries, tar and light smoke. The wine is plump, thick and enduring with highly polished tannins. Drink after 2015.

Barbaresco Teorema opens with a distinctive bouquet of dried medicinal herb, cola, fennel or celery stick. There are subtle tones of red berry and currant and the mouthfeel shows a compact style and medium intensity. It’s a bright, correct wine, but a measured one.

Ausario is an exceptional expression of Nebbiolo that opens with luscious, dark concentration and excellent complexity. Wood tones of spice and toasted nut marry the fresh fruit tones associated with the grape variety that makes Piedmont so famous. The wine is tight, firm and velvety on the finish.

Here’s a powerful and intense Barbaresco with tones of cherry liqueur, spice, licorice, leather and espresso coffee. The wine shows good concentration and excellent persistency of flavor with lingering nuances of spice and berry with bright acidity and dry tannins.
