This dry Vignoles offers pineapple and grapefruit flavors and a pretty floral and spiced nose. Clean and delicate on the palate, it’s a good cheese-pairing wine and has a balanced but expressive overall character.

While there’s some nice, honest fruit here, it’s weighed down by heavy vanilla overtones. The finish is long enough but shows a confected element and winds up with a singed wood tone.

The label of this wine states ‘Dry Vignoles’ yet this wine is anything but. The nose is fresh and light with pretty gardenia scents but the palate is cloying and fades quickly to leave a slightly chemical aftertaste.

This Missouri Vignoles offers a nose of orange Muscat, pepper and warming spice, followed by slightly sweet flavors (despite its dry designation) of apricot, pineapple and citrus. Balanced acidity and a pleasant, round mouthfeel. The finish is substantial, with a spicy flair.

The gorgeously opaque ruby color raises high hopes. However, the undistinguished, earthy nose fails to deliver. The lush palate is a step up, with red berry soup flavors interwoven with an odd ashy note. Long finish. Drink up.

Simple but refreshing and crisp, with nice grapefruit, lime and lemon peel accents. The faintly off-dry finish turns a bit tart.
