Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
A dark, rich, rustic wine made from Teroldego grapes, a most unusual sight in California, said to be a cousin to Syrah and more often found in Northern Italy. With a lot of black cherry pie, licorice and a hint of smokiness, this wine is most definitely interesting and worth a try and would be stellar with barbecue or pasta.
