Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Both this wine and the 2005 showed good "Pinosity," blending mushroomy, earthy complexity with velvety tannins. Black cherry and plum flavors provide enough fruit for balance, while the finish is long. Imported by USA Wine Imports, Inc.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
A top-notch offering, Moorilla's 2005 Pinot Noir shows the potential of this variety in cool-climate Tasmania. Cola and black cherry scnets ride easily above a vaguely mushroomy backdrop, and although the flavors are earthy and feature plenty of sous-bois notes, they're balanced by ripe black cherry fruit. It's round and soft, with a silky lingering finish and framed by well-judged oak that never intrudes on the overall picture. Imported by USA Wine Imports, Inc.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Fully mature and ready to drink, Moorilla's unwooded Chardonnay is a big, mouthfilling, powerful wine, featuring aromas and flavors of buttered stones, with touches of honey, spice (anise) and citrus embellishment. A Wine Angel Selection, imported by USA Wine Imports, Inc.
