Although not viewed as an important vintage, this is a good wine for drinking young; sweet and ripe, spicy fruit on the nose with black cherry, earth, wood, cooked sugar, chocolate, fresh wood and earth; very sweet in the front of the mouth, black cherries; then lots of dry tannins and woody flavors; overall nice fruit, but most of this wine is right on the surface; medium finish. (15.5/20)

Lighter color, soft, sweet nose with wonderful floral aromas and fresh red fruits, touch of earth, spices, but light and elegant if not particularly complex; pretty much the same in the mouth, sweet fruit, pretty and floral on the palate; sweet fruit, light and a bit simple, but pleasant and enjoyable. (15.5/20)
