From one of Germany’s biggest cooperative wineries, this is a pleasant, if somewhat modestly concentrated Riesling. Apple and citrus flavors don’t show a ton of complexity, but they’re clean and varietally correct, with the sugar balanced by adequate acids. Drink now.

This spätlese from the huge Moselland cooperative does a decent job at balancing hints of softly ripe peaches with taut grapefruity elements, all reinforced by a rather sinewy palate feel. Drink now.

The “black cat” Riesling I remember from my childhood rides again, with modest green apple notes accented by bits of earth and citrus. It’s off dry and soft, yet with a slightly sour edge to the finish.
