Deep and ripe nose, lots of black cherry aromas here and little hint of the Gamay perfumed aromas, it is still unmistakably Gamay, but the aromas have more earth and hints of wood and smoke than many of these wines; ripe and full in the mouth, this has the sophistication of Moulin-a-Vent; black cherry and damp wood flavors, quite bit of terroir here; perhaps more concentrated and not as fruit-laden as some of these wines. (16.5/20).
