Picking up some bottle age, which has softened its direct impact. But it’s still a pretty one-dimensional wine, offering a blast of cherries, raspberries, cola, mint and oak. Harder and more tannic than your typical coastal Pinot, although the silky texture satisfies. May have a future, but no guesstimates.

A bit hard and direct now, with tough acidity and tannins framing jammy flavors of cherries, cola, anise and sandalwood. Pretty good, but immature. Better after 2010.

Hard and jammy now, like a spoonful of cherry, raspberry and blackberry marmalade straight from the jar. Clean and zesty, but too young. Needs time in the bottle. 2010–2013.
