A sleek style, with smooth, supple tannins that frame a core of black currant, thyme, chocolate, coffee and spice notes. The finish is long and refined. A fine effort from an often overlooked appellation.

Bright and spicy on the nose, with hints of chocolate and raspberries. Pretty fruit continues along the palate, showing cherries, cocoa, coffee, cinnamon and toast. Fresh and lively to the end.

An elegant style that is made from 50-year-old vines. The wine is made in a refined style. Not effusive, but showing a fine blend of black-currant, cherry, herb and toast flavors. Lovely now, but it should also improve nicely in the cellar.

Rich in blackberry, black currant and pepper flavors, and completely dry, but kind of rustic and awkwardly hot in the mouth. There’s a sharp edge of green tannins. Doesn’t showcase the fruit of this fine vineyard as well as it should.

Basically a high-alcohol fruit bomb, with jammy flavors of raspberries and cherries. The heat from 15.5% alcohol gives it a chili pepper burn. Defines that style, for those who like it.

Juicy and ripe, this one strikes a fine balance between effusive cherry, blackberry, plum and anise flavors and ripe tannins that give good structure to the whole. On the finish, it’s bright, with coffee and cola notes for good measure.
