From Chilean winemaker, Aurelio Montes, this 100% Cabernet shows massively concentrated flavors of ripe blackberries and cassis, with richer notes of dark chocolate, anise, spices and smoky cedar. What an amazing tannin structure, intricate, fine and complex. A wine to drink now for sheer opulence or to age for at least a dozen years.

From Chilean winemaker Aurelio Montes comes this Cab of considerable depth and power. It shows well-developed blackberry and cassis flavors. The tannins are significant. Give it until 2011 to begin to open, and it should drink well through 2014. Cellar Selection.

Showing softly sweet raspberry, cherry and cocoa flavors, with a luxe coating of smoky oak. Acidity and tannins are melted, making it a gentle Cabernet to drink now and for the next few years. Tasted twice.

Thick in tannins, and with a sweet, tart taste of blackberry jam, this Cabernet isn’t offering much subtlety now. It feels tough and gritty, a wine with plenty of youthful, primary fruit. Could develop in the bottle. Give it a good decant if you drink now. Tasted twice.
