The cooperative that makes Nicolas Feuillatte is doing good things with this brand. This Réserve Particulière is elegantly made, with fine white fruit flavors along with a touch of toast. It is light, poised and makes a good apéritif. Imported by Pasternak Wine Imports.

This is a rather soft style, attractive but without the acidity. It is clean and easy to drink. Flavors of white currants, of lychees and of exotic fruits fill the wine out and give a final feeling of ripeness.

A coconut streak stands out immediately, then there’s a vertical wall of stone, citrus and licorice. I like the intensity and the definitive spices that layer this wine; it’s not shy or pedestrian. The style may or may not suit you, but it’s well worth exploring. It finishes up crisp, with a green, citrusy lift.

More orange than salmon in color, with impressively smooth aromas of melon, orange peel and brown sugar. The palate deals a full hand of citrus, and there’s a sweet quince-like undertone. The finish is bold, fruity and long, like a couple of minutes long. This is a pure wine; it would be nearly impossible not to enjoy it.

This is the best in the Nicolas Feuillatte range. Packed with structured fruit, layers of white currants and fresh strawberries, this is fresh, crisp with fine acidity. The 40% Chardonnay in the blend promises some aging over the next 5 years.

Light floral scents and Bartlett pear aromas are attractive. But a touch of cheddar cheese seems out of place. Green apple and pear flavors come in front of a lime-tinged finish. An easy-goer, but not without some spunk. Calrity and freshness are its best attributes.
