A Riesling/Viognier blend, this mixes citrus and peach fruit flavors together, with more than a little bit of sweetness in the finish. It’s a fruity, forward, easy-going quaffer, best enjoyed with a good chill on it.

Aggressively tannic, this is an earthy red wine with a lot of barrel influence. The fruit vanishes into a mélange of pepper, clove, coffee and tannin.

Chandler Reach grew the grapes for this big, chewy, rather blocky Merlot. It offers pleasant red fruits and light chocolaty barrel notes.

This is Elerding vineyard fruit and it has some good, juicy flavor upon entry. The downside is that it does not bring in any subsequent layering; the fruit is up front, sweet and simple, with some stiff tannins quickly following. Which makes it an easy-drinking, every day, all-purpose bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon, but not up to its full potential.

Chandler Reach vineyards supplied the fruit. This is tart, opening with sharp berry flavors and lots of citrus, then settling into a moderately long finish that brings in a mix of strawberry, raspberry and cherry fruit. It’s simple but ready to go.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Acidic, chalky and sharp upon entry, this wine’s light berry flavors quickly give way to those tart acids. Though the fruit shows some concentration, it’s a one-dimensional effort that has not completely knit together.

Co-fermented with 3% Viognier, this tart and sharp-edged Washington Syrah sports bright berry fruit and just a hint of earth in the tannins. The acids are a little chalky, and there is a slight medicinal quality in the back of the mouth as the wine finishes.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Lots of sweet fruit is right up front here—super ripe berry/cherry flavors—that quickly fade and leave a rather dull finish. It’s two thirds Cabernet Franc, the rest a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and just a splash of Petit Verdot.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
This solid effort keeps the fruit in focus, with blue plum and tart boysenberry flavors. The tannins are just soft enough to take the edge off, and the herbal/black olive dimensions of the grape are in view but not dominant. Once in the mouth this wine takes its time and lets the flavors roll through the finish, getting leafier as they go.
