Light and fresh, tart and marked with spice and mixed citrus fruits. A style well-suited for shellfish or poultry, and more reminiscent of Italian Pinot Grigios than many Oregon bottlings.

A sweaty smell opens the wine, followed with light strawberry and leafy herb notes. In the mouth the wine is thin and tart, with a hard, tannic finish. There isn’t any stuffing, and it lacks the elegance and precision that could take the place of mere power. What’s left is leafy, herbal and astringent, but charmless. Two bottles tasted.

Bing cherry, plum, rhubarb and cedar elements meld handsomely on the nose of this tasty medium-weight wine. Attractive clove, chocolate and licorice accents add interest; more than one taster complimented the ripe mouthfeel. Finishes long with modest tannins. Offers a lot to like, and should be even better in one to two years.

Comes on with an unusual smoky menthol-ash veneer over herb (vegetal, to some) aromas. The fruit is tart, with earth and sawdust accents, while lemony acids amplify the sour edge. Overall, reviewers found it a bit lean and a bit green.

A lightly tawny straw color, this is scented with grass and hay and smoked meat—unusual for a Chardonnay. Light apple-flavored fruit carries that same, strong smoked meat (and slightly plastic) streak of flavor—unmissable and quite persistent.

Light, tart, slightly green fruit flavors don’t add up to much. There is an undertone of old barrel or something not quite fresh. Simple and plain.
